For our use case, an NFT is a permanent record stored on a blockchain that can be used to verify ownership. There are many other use cases but ours is a proof of ownership of an original Lils.fx creation!

Visit: https://wax.atomichub.io/ and select "Create Wallet" in the top right corner. Atomic Hub sponsors a limited number of free wallets per day if you create it through their site. If they are out of free ones the price to create one is low. Wax Cloud Wallet is  the recommended choice for  beginners.

An always free option is Wombat https://www.wombat.app/ which is a mobile app and PC browser extension. Less user friendly than Wax Cloud Wallet but is indeed free.

A wallet is exactly as it sounds. It is your own personal ownership area on a blockchain. In order to collect Lils.fx NFTs a wallet is required. However, it is not required to have a wallet to still purchase Lils artwork. The ability to claim the NFT will never expire so even if you do not wish to claim the NFT right away, the option will always be there should you desire to do so.
